Hi! I'm new here. I'm moving over from cohost (same username), where I used to post book reviews and photos of my garden, mostly. I'll be transferring some of my old posts over here, plus dusting off some drafts that I never got around to publishing.

Looking forward to figuring out how everything works and finding some people to follow (or whatever the terminology is over here)!

If you're new here from Cohost, then you might like newcomers which is covering the shutdown and providing resources about Dreamwidth. You can introduce yourself in the Friending Meme or find your Cohost friends if you wish. These are also resources you can share with other folks riding the wave from Cohost.

See birdfeeding, gardening, and common_nature for places to crosspost your garden photos or enjoy other people's nature posts. There are also photography communities that you can find via the Interests page.

Yay! You have until the end of 2024, in theory, before Cohost disappears entirely. You can post an announcement of what you're copying on newcomers and use this post to tell people when you've finished.

The Cohost Is Closing post has lots of resources, with more in the recent posts. getting_started is another good place to look for tips.

People tend to say following or friending. You can use Interests and Tags to search for bloggers and communities with things you like. Add Me communities let you post an introduction.
